runs in the terminal you already have open

Your agent is thinking.
You could be winning.

cludex is a game for the dead minutes while a coding agent works. It lives in a split pane, it pauses itself the moment you're needed, and it keeps score against everyone else at your company.

Why it exists

The waiting is the product

It knows when you're needed

Install the Claude Code hooks and the game pauses the moment your agent finishes or asks for input, so a round never keeps you from the work.

Scores can't be faked

The game never sends a score. The server replays your keypresses through its own copy of the game and works out the number itself.

Your company is the league

Verify a work email and you join your company's board automatically. No invites, no admin setup — the first person to sign in creates the team.

What's in it

Games that suit a terminal

Runnerthe offline-Chrome dino, 30 seconds a roundplayable
Invaderschunky block sprites, the clearest of the lotplayable
Pacthe maze, crisp because a terminal is already a gridplayable
Golfangle, power, swing, one hole at a timeplayable
Daily Triviafive questions, released to everyone at the same instantplayable
Leaderboardtoday, this week and all time, for players and companiesplayable
Vim golfsame buffer, same target, fewest keystrokessoon
Type racehead-to-head wpm against your teamsoon

Terminals send keypresses but never key releases, so cludex favours games built on single presses and discrete turns — which is also what makes a round survivable when you get interrupted.

Standings

Points work like F1: the top ten in each game score 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1. A company counts its ten best players. Handles and company domains only; email addresses never appear on a board.
